‘Creative Language Teaching: A workshop for integrating the Arts in L2 education’.

This workshop provides an overview of the theoretical foundations and practical elements of arts integration in foreign language instruction, including the benefits and challenges of implementing arts in the language classroom, strategies for selecting and integrating appropriate art forms, and considerations for aligning arts activities with language learning objectives. The practical workshop aims to provide language teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully integrate drama, music, visual arts, dance and literary practices into their language classrooms. Through a series of hands-on activities and exercises, participants will learn how to select and integrate arts ideas and practices, align arts-based activities with language learning objectives, and adapt and modify these activities to fit different levels of language proficiency.
